Quick Answers..

How much do I need to invest to set up my own business?

That really depends on where you’re starting from. If you’re new to running art classes, our Onboarding Package is designed to support you through setup, planning, and launch. The onboarding fee is £6,000. In addition, you should budget for startup costs of around £5,000, to cover items such as materials, venue hire, insurance, and initial marketing. Actual startup costs will vary depending on your location and how you choose to set up your business.

Once your business is operating, the ongoing syllabus cost is £700 per term.

How do I expand my business?

Growth is always your choice. Some business owners add extra class days or sessions over time, while others keep things smaller to suit their lifestyle. We support you with guidance whenever you’re ready to explore what’s next.

How much can I earn?
How quickly can I start?

We focus on helping you prepare properly, rather than rushing the process.

If you’ve run a business before, the onboarding process can often be completed relatively quickly, depending on your availability and how you choose to structure your setup.

If you’re new to running an art business, we generally suggest allowing around 3–4 months before launching. This gives you time to work through the onboarding process, plan your delivery, and feel confident in how your business will run. The exact timeline will always depend on your circumstances and how you prefer to work.

How many courses do you provide syllabus for a year?

There are no percentage-based fees, which means you retain all of the income your business generates.

For illustration, based on our own experience, running classes on one core day per week can generate around £30,000 per year in revenue.

Actual earnings will vary depending on factors such as class numbers, pricing, location, and how the business is run. This example is provided for guidance only and does not guarantee income.

Will I receive ongoing support

Yes — in a way that respects your independence.

We provide termly syllabus materials, along with access to a supportive community of independent business owners where ideas, experiences, and best practice are shared.

As a consultancy, our role is to offer guidance and know-how based on our experience. You’re welcome to ask questions and draw on the shared knowledge within the community, but day-to-day decisions and business operations always remain your responsibility.

This approach keeps support available, without taking control — so you can run your business in a way that works for you.

We provide three core syllabuses per year, each designed to run for 10–12 weeks, depending on how you choose to structure your term.

This approach gives you a clear teaching framework, while also allowing flexibility across the year. Outside of the core course terms, you have the option to run additional workshops, take breaks, or fit your business around other commitments, depending on what works best for you.

Many of our business owners choose not to run classes during half terms, summer holidays, or the Christmas period, but how you structure your year is entirely your decision.

We also offer individual curricula for one-off workshops, which can be purchased separately if you’d like to add extra sessions at any point.
